Lawyer Friends of the SCCL was formed as an informal society in 2002 to organize economic support to SCCL. This cooperation among commercial lawyers in Stockholm was replaced in 2020 by a chartered foundation for the support of SCCL. It is financed by commercial lawyers who wishes to benefit from the activities at the SCCL and to support it.
A law firm can become a member of Lawyer Friends of the SCCL by contributing a yearly fee to the foundation and by 2022 most of the Stockholm area commercial law firms have become members. The yearly fee is based on the number of lawyers working at the firm and is established by the board of the SCCL.

A part of the chartered foundation for the support of the SCCL comprises companies who wish to take part in and support the SCCL. Here are found i.e. banks, financial institutions, insurance companies and some large industrial companies
